A great many buildings have extensions
with flat, or near flat roofs that often create dark areas
in rooms. VELUX has developed a window system specifically
for flat roofs, which floods light into areas beneath. Imagine
lying in bed admiring the stars above or impressing friends
by serving dinner under a moonlit sky.
The
Flat Roof System incorporates the VELUX GGL/GGU roof window
with its advanced insulation properties, slimmer proportions
and improved internal and external aesthetics.
PROTEC-STAR multi-function glazing is fitted as standard,
providing greater thermal insulation properties and greater
safety with its 6.4mm laminated inner pane and 4mm toughened,
low-E outer pane.
The VELUX Flat Roof System comes complete
with a shaped, insulated wooden kerb and is available in manual
or electronic versions that can be fitted on flat or low pitched
roofs up to 15°. To maximise the amount of natural light
entering the room the front and back framing is splayed. |

Roofline Solutions can install your Velux
Skylight, whether it's just fitting the Skylight
itself or adding it as part of a larger home improvement plan
(like a new extension or fitting a new kitchen). The electrical
motor is built into the window frame and the windows (and
optional blinds) are electrically operated by remote control.
Skylight windows can be fitted into all types of pitch roofs,
indeed even shallow pitch roofs that you wouldn't normally
associate with VELUX windows (because there isn't enough room
to create new living space) are ideal for a Skylight project. |
